The camp is set on the Southern end of the bird rich Lake elementaita in the Acacia bushes.

Getting there

Oasis eco camp is on the Shores of Lake Elementaita in Gilgil.

While driving from Nairobi to Nakuru, Branch Off at Keekopey (You will see our sign)– The meat Place, to the left, and drive towards the lake. Follow the earth road and look out for a stone written Oasis Eco Camp on your right where you take your first turn. A short distance you will see a second stone showing the second turn to your left. We offer accommodation in the three rustic cottages and three large Meru tents all with comfortable log beds and modern bathrooms. One of the cottage has two partially separate rooms and suitable for families.

The cottages and Tents are solar powered and a small backup generator is available for use when necessary.

The camp has been designed with the adventurous and outdoor people in mind. If you love the quite and serenity of the bush then this is the right place.

Among the activities, you can sauna your feet in the lakes’ hot geyser intlet, hike to the nearby hills with a visit to caves, walk or cycle around the lake, birdwatching, visit the Kariandusi Pre-historic site or do farm tours.

Morning bird walks along the shores of the lake are now organised every Saturday and Sunday mornings from 6.30 am for the active early birds.

Gamedrives can also be done at Soysambu Conservancy and Lake Nakuru National park
